Delete your Tidaali account
You can leave a kitchen you joined, or delete a whole kitchen and everything in it. Here is how,
and exactly what happens. It is the same account whether you use Tidaali in the app or on the website.

Leave a kitchen
If you joined a family's kitchen with a family link, a QR code or the Family Code, there are two ways to
leave.
- Ask your kitchen's admin. They can remove you straight away: in Tidaali they open
Family and tap the bin next to your name.
- Or ask us. Email us with your kitchen's name and the name you use in it.
Email us to leave a kitchen
You are taken off the family list and your phone loses access to the kitchen. The meals you planned stay in
your family's plan, because they belong to the whole household.
Delete a whole kitchen
This is for the person who set the kitchen up. Email us from the address you sign in to Tidaali with, and
say you want your kitchen deleted. Writing from that address is how we know the request is really yours.
Email us to delete a kitchen
We delete all of it:
- the kitchen, its name and its settings
- every member's profile
- the whole meal history and every plan
- notes, votes and reminders
- invitation codes and the cook screen link, which stop working
- notification addresses for every phone in the kitchen
- Kitchen Circles connections and stories
- your sign-in account and email address
This cannot be undone.
What we keep
- Technical error reports. If something broke while you were using Tidaali, the error
report is kept for a short time and then deleted automatically, within 90 days at most.
- Backups. If a copy of your kitchen is sitting in one of our database provider's routine
backups, it expires on its own within 14 days.
- Your email asking us to delete your data, as a record that we did what you asked.
Nothing else.
How long it takes
We do it within 7 days, and reply to your email when it is done.
